The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has decided to adjust the hours at three ports of entry in Montana.
Starting June 1, 2019, the new hours for the ports of Scobey, Morgan, and Opheim will be 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. year round.
The Port of Raymond will remain a 24-hour port during the summer of 2019 while CBP continues discussions with the Canadian government and local stakeholders.
Throughout the last few months, CBP has received feedback from local community members, stakeholders, and officials concerning the hour adjustments.
Beginning in early February, CBP held several outreach and listening sessions in addition to briefing Congressional staff.
A press release states CBP will continue to work with communities on special events and utilize its first responder protocols to allow for emergency vehicle crossing.
CBP is still accepting feedback at OFOFEEDBACKMT@cbp.dhs.gov.
