There’s a mystery in Great Falls that has people wondering: what is going into the building on 10th Avenue South that used to be Hoagieville?

Several people have told KRTV that they have seen some construction or remodeling activity in the store recently, which is located near 12th Street on the north side of 10th Avenue South.

There have been rumors that it might soon be home to a Five Guys Burgers restaurant; we have contacted Five Guys, and they said although they hope to someday open in Great Falls, they have no immediate plans to do so.

In April 2018, Macek Companies posted this message on Facebook: “Someone new is coming to the former Hoagieville on 10th Avenue South! Any guesses? You should see an announcement in the near future.”

Today, when asked about it, Macek provided this response: “We are actively working on getting approval from the owners to release that information. We are hopeful that we’ll be able to let everyone know very soon!”

Hoagieville, which is based in Missoula and has several locations, opened its Great Falls store in the summer of 2014 in the space that had once been a Kentucky Fried Chicken.
