Weekend Forecast for Great Falls

Posted
and last updated

It's been a wet, snowy day across the state with the western half of the state dealing with a rain/snow mix as temperatures have hovered in the lower to middle 30s, while locations east of the divide have seen several inches of snowfall.

It has been a particularly icy afternoon on roads stretching from Great Falls to Lewistown.

A Winter Storm Warning is in place through 11pm for Cascade, Judith Gap, and Fergus counties.

Snow will exit the state from north to south during the late afternoon and evening hours.

After midnight, we'll see a slowly clearing sky with lows dropping into the upper single digits to upper teens in most locations.

Good news is on the way for Sunday. The entire state will see a mostly sunny to sunny sky, with clouds increasing late in the day in northwest Montana.

Temperatures will warm into the lower to middle 30s.

Looking ahead to the work week, the overall weather pattern will bring fairly benign weather throughout the week. Other the mountains of western Montana, the rest of the state will see a mix of sun and clouds with a slim chance of showers later in the week.

Highs will reach the middle 30s to lower 40s in most locations west of the divide, while the far eastern side of the state is expected to see a cold air mass drop in by the middle of the week.

Have a wonderful Sunday!
