Brisk wind and relatively dry conditions will cause for a heightened fire concern on Friday.
The biggest factor we're dealing with is that there is very little snow cover in the plains.
Without the snow cover, dry and dead vegetation is exposed and could ignite very easily.
The strong wind will only help to spread a fire if one was to start.
Temperatures will reach the mid 40s and low 50s for most on Friday.
Although not warning worthy, the wind will remain strong with gusts around 25 to 45 mph.
