Colder air will remain trapped along the Hi-Line, keeping daytime highs in the single digits.
A weak weather disturbance is on track to move through the state on early Friday.
This system will bring a round of snow to the mountains and plains.
The high terrain will catch the brunt of the snow with most of the plains only picking up around a half an inch.
Temperatures will continue to climb well above average this weekend and are expected to reach the 40s early next week.
