Warmer air heads our way pushing temperatures well above zero

Warmer air is on track to move into the state on Thursday.

This will allow for temperatures to climb well above zero for most of the state.

Colder air will remain trapped along the Hi-Line, keeping daytime highs in the single digits.

A weak weather disturbance is on track to move through the state on early Friday.

This system will bring a round of snow to the mountains and plains.

The high terrain will catch the brunt of the snow with most of the plains only picking up around a half an inch.

Temperatures will continue to climb well above average this weekend and are expected to reach the 40s early next week.

A flood warning has been issued in the city of Choteau because of an ice jam on Spring Creek.

Some locations that will experience flooding including the city of Choteau.

Water has been reported up to 6 inches deep on some streets in the city of Choteau.

If the water levels continue to rise, houses will start to become impacted by flood waters.
