High winds will impact the region starting late tonight and last through Monday night. Gusts along the Rocky Mountain Front could be as high as 80-90 mph. Elsewhere it's possible for 60-65 mph gusts throughout the event. A High Wind Watch has also been issued for portions of North-East Montana for high winds.
Temperatures will warm nicely to near 50 degrees in several locations on Monday. Snow will also rapidly melt on the plains with the combination of sun, warm temperatures, and wind.
A series of disturbances will move through the area the rest of next week, which will bring our temperatures below average once again, and also bring several opportunities for an isolated snow shower here and there. There's still some uncertainty with these systems so we'll continue to keep an eye on the trends.
