More warm and windy weather is on the way.
Winds will begin to pick up Friday night, and remain very strong through the day Saturday.
Gusts as high as 100 miles per hour are not out of the question along the Rocky Mountain Front.
Peak gusts between 60 and 75 miles per hour will be common across North Central Montana on Saturday.
The strong chinook winds will bring in near record high temperatures for Saturday as well.
Highs in the mid 50s to lower 60s are expected.
The combination of warm, dry air, coupled with strong winds and minimal snow cover will lead to an increased risk of grassland fires on Saturday.
For this reason a Red Flag Warning will be in effect for much of the area through the day.
Sunday is looking very different than Saturday.
A cold front will pass through Saturday night, bringing calmer winds, cooler temperatures, and even the chance for snow.
