Rain starts up Wednesday afternoon

Tuesday has been a beautiful day!

In fact, it's likely the nicest day in the forecast, with a Spring storm set to move in soon.

Skies will stay clear Tuesday night, but clouds will increase Wednesday, and rain won't be far behind.

Showers and storms will move in Wednesday afternoon, with steady rain falling through Wednesday night and even into early Thursday.

Rainfall amounts between a quarter of and inch and an inch are likely, with less rain expected in Northeast Montana.

A few snowflakes may mix in with the rain by Wednesday night, but accumulating snow will be confined to higher elevations.

Because of this, a Winter Weather Advisory will be in effect starting Wednesday night for parts of the Northern Divide, as well as the Little Belt Mountains.

The heavy rain may cause rises in small creeks and streams, but widespread flooding is not expected.
