Severe storms, flash flooding possible

Cooler temperatures and widespread moisture move in this weekend as an upper level trough moves across the region Saturday and Sunday.

Showers and storms are expected, with some storms being severe.

A Severe Storm Watch is under effect for portions of the viewing area.

The threats include: heavy downpours, strong wind gusts and quarter-size hail possible.

A Flash Flood Warning is in effect for some areas due to rainfall being heavy at times.

Best chance for seeing flash flooding will be along burn scars and low-lying roads.

More showers and storms possible on Sunday while the trough exits the area.

Conditions dry out by Monday morning with mostly sunny conditions expected Monday afternoon with temperatures in the upper 70s and lower 80s.
