It's been a very windy end to our work week.

Winds have gusted well over 40 miles per hour Friday.

Winds will die down by Saturday, and our attention will turn to our next storm system.

That will bring rain and high elevation snow by Saturday afternoon, with some snow mixing in at lower elevations by Saturday night.

Skies will begin to clear through the day Sunday.

At lower elevations snow accumulation will be minor, less than an inch, but the mountains are in line to pick up quite a bit of snow.

Several Winter Weather Advisories will be in effect Saturday into Sunday, including areas above 5500 feet in Cascade, Judith Basin, Broadwater, and Meagher counties.

Accumulating snow of 4 to 8 inches in expected in the areas under the advisories, with some of the higher peaks picking up as much as a foot.

Passes may becomes slippery this weekend, check road conditions before heading out.
