Much needed rain and snow fell in Montana Thursday

Helps out our dry to moderate drought

Good evening everyone!

Well we were finally able to see some rain and snow today in the Central and North Central parts of the state.

Almost 0.20" of rain fell in the Electric City with over a 0.10" falling in Helena and Lewistown.

This helps out with our current dry to moderate drought conditions in Montana.

We'll continue to dry out from the north to south as we head into the night.

Our main problem will be water on the roads that will freeze as temperatures fall below freezing.

Plus patchy fog has and will continue to develop through the early morning hours.

Please give yourself extra time for your morning commute.

High pressure builds in this weekend allowing for winds to gust to 30 mph on Sunday.
