We've got more snow in the forecast.

At lower elevations, it won't be much.

Likely a trace to 2 inches for places like Helena and Lewistown, and up to, but likely less than, an inch for Great Falls.

Parts of Eastern and Northeast Montana could see an inch or two as well.

Snow will be picking up in intensity Thursday night, and tapering off early Friday.

Much heavier snow is still expected in the mountains.

The heavy mountain snow is already causing issues.

An Avalanche Warning is in effect for parts of Southwest Montana.

Mountain snow continues, avalanche danger high

Mountains in that area have already received as much as a foot of new snow.

Avalanche danger is high in the Bridger, Gallatin, and Madison Ranges, as well as the Lionhead area near West Yellowstone.

It is recommended to avoid avalanche terrain and runout zones in those areas.
