Our wintry October continues.
Yet another cold front will sweep through the area Sunday night into Monday, bringing with it another round of snow, and even colder temperatures.
Due to the snow, both Winter Weather Advisories and a Winter Storm Warning will go into effect late Sunday night through Monday.
Light snow will start Sunday night, with heavier bands pushing through the area in the early morning hours.
Heavy snowfall and gusty winds will drop visibility for the morning commute Monday, and roads will become slippery as snow accumulates through the day.
As usual, the heaviest snow will be in the mountains, with as much as 12 inches possible along the divide, and possibly more than that in the Little Belts, which looks to be the hardest hit area.
Areas adjacent to high terrain on the Rocky Mountain Front and in Central Montana will pick up snow as much as 6 inches, with totals of 1 to 4 inches expected on most of the plains.
The Hi-Line and most of Eastern Montana will see little to no snow.
Following the cold front, temperatures will be dropping Monday.
Temperatures will peak in the mid 20s early in the day, and fall into the teens by the afternoon.
Single digits, and even below zero temperatures are expected Monday night into Tuesday morning.
