Dangerous Wind Chills Continue

Relief is in Sight

and last updated

Dangerously cold temperatures and wind chills will continue to impact the area through at least Sunday.

All of our viewing area remains under a wind chill warning for wind chills nearing -55. Areas along the Hi-Line and in North-Eastern Montana could even approach -60.

Air this cold can cause frost bite in as little as 5 minutes. Your best bet is to stay inside and if you must go out, limit any exposure to the elements. Be sure to bundle up and cover all skin. The more layers the better protection you have from the cold.

The good news is there is relief in sight starting next Monday. Highs will be in the upper 20s to near 30, which will feel tropical compared to what we're dealing with this week.
