A cold front is beginning to move through the state.

It will continue to plunge southward as we head through Tuesday evening.

As the front passes, winds will become strong, and shift to the north.

Any gusty winds will be brief, and critical fire weather conditions are not expected, thanks to greater levels of humidity and lower temperatures as the front passes.

The cold front may also kick off some showers and storms, especially along the Hi-Line.

Areas along the Hi-Line will see cooler highs Wednesday, mainly in the 80s, behind the front.

However areas farther south will likely still see temperatures in the upper 80s to around 90 degrees.
