Cold front on the way

The front brings chilly temperatures, light snow

We're tracking scattered snow showers Monday afternoon.

We expect another wave of light snow alongside a cold front Monday night and into early Tuesday.

While we could see up to half a foot of snow in the mountains through Tuesday, most of us will pick up around an inch of snow.

However, a line of heavier showers is possible Tuesday morning, especially in and just north of Great Falls, which could make things a little slippery in time for the morning commute.

The cold front is also going to be dropping out temperatures.

Most of North Central Montana will start Tuesday off in the single digits, with teens expected near Helena, and some sub-zero lows in Northeast Montana.

Highs Tuesday will range from around 30 near Helena, to the lower 20s in Great Falls, to as cold as the single digits in Northeast Montana, where the coldest air will be in place.
