Calmer weather after our record breaking Saturday
Posted
and last updated

The second half of our weekend is much calmer than the first.

Saturday featured winds gusts as high as the triple digits, several grassland fires, dust storms, and record breaking high temperatures.

The winds are much lighter Sunday, and temperatures are running as much as 30 degrees cooler.

As of Sunday afternoon, temperatures are mainly in the 20s and 30s, just a bit below normal for this time of year.

Monday looks to be calm and cool as well.

The day will start off on the chilly side, with low temperatures mainly in the teens, with a few single digits possible.

Highs will be in the upper 20s to lower 30s.

Skies will be sunny, and winds will be light.

Looking ahead, we do have some more active weather later in the week.

That includes a chance for rain and snow by Thursday, and the possibility of some accumulating snow by the weekend.
