Dense smoke will once again blanket Montana on Wednesday.
The air quality is expected to stay unhealthy for sensitive groups throughout the day.
A stationary front is camped out smack dab in the middle of the state.
This is allowing for cooler temperatures to the north and warmer temperatures to the southwest.
Today is on track to be the coolest day of the week with highs in the mid to upper 70s for our area.
Temperatures will regain some strength as we round out the later half of the work week.
Friday will offer up another day in the low 80s before an area of low pressure tracks our way from the North Pacific.
This pressure system will allow for still cooler air to settle in over Montana this weekend.
Forecast models are suggesting spotty rain late Friday and gradually becoming more widespread overnight.
The brunt of the moisture is expected to track through the state on Saturday.
A few spotty showers can't be ruled out on Sunday, however the core of this system should be out of the region.
Temperatures are trending in the low to mid 70s early next week.
