Wednesday morning forecast with Jason Laird

and last updated

Brisk down sloping wind will continue today.

Although not as strong as Tuesday, wind gusts around 20 mph are likely today.

The wind will help to boost the air temperatures again today, with most areas reaching the mid 40s this afternoon.

Temperatures will continue to climb as the week plays out and is on track to reach the early 50s by Thursday.

The wind is expected to ramp up a bit again on Friday as a cold front tracks through the state.

This passing front will likely kick off a few mountain flurries and a few spotty showers along the front.

At this point it does not appear to be anything of concern, however travel through the mountains may be a bit strained early Saturday.

Even stronger high pressure is on track to move inland on Sunday.

This pressure system will continue to drive temperatures through the first portion of next week.

Forecast models are suggesting that we'll reach the low 60s early next week.
