The rain holds off at least for a few hours

Some sun is expected early Tuesday before showers return later this afternoon.

Most of the rain today will remain over the mountains, eventually returning to Central Montana later in the day.

Daytime high temperatures will remain below average once again with highs in the low 60s.

A few thunderstorms are also possible this afternoon as moisture moves back into our region.

More sun is expected Wednesday, but an afternoon cold front will offer up a better chance of thunderstorms.

Clearing skies will take us through Thursday with highs in the mid 70s.

The more mild and dry weather will last into Friday however a few passing thunderstorms are still likely.

Daytime highs on the 4th of July are trending in the mid 80s and the possibility of a few passing thunderstorms still exists.

Temperatures will remain in the low to mid 80s this weekend with a few lingering afternoon thunderstorms.
