Temperatures will remain on track with average for two more days before they fall off the charts this weekend.
Breezy conditions will impact most of Central Montana once again on Wednesday, however they aren't expected to be nearly as strong as earlier this week.
As our next weather system approaches overnight, significantly strong wind will once again take over Montana on Thursday.
Wind gusts in upwards of 60 mph are not out of the question, especially around the noon hour on Thursday.
Widespread rain will accompany the wind on Thursday, eventually tapering off overnight.
The core of our weekend weather maker will drop south from Canada on Friday.
More rain is expected to spill into the state as this system approaches.
By Friday evening a rain and snow mixture is likely as temperatures fall to near freezing.
Widespread snow is expected on Saturday and Sunday.
This system will produce a very wet and heavy snow, which will likely break tree branches and possibly even down power lines.
Lingering snow is expected to last into Monday.
