An incoming batch of cold air will keep temperatures more in check with average and help to kick off some rain in Central Montana.
Highs on Monday are expected to remain in the high 50s and low 60s this afternoon.
Lingering shower and strong wind are on tap throughout the day.
For the most part the showers are anticipated to be spotty and off and on.
The wind will stay gusty on Monday as well, and although not as strong as this past weekend, wind gusts around 30 to 40 mph are likely.
A few showers are likely again on Tuesday with some mountain snow.
Temperatures will remain in the mid to high 50s for most Tuesday afternoon.
Still colder air will settle in over the state on Wednesday.
This will allow for daytime highs to remain in the the low 50s and fall below freezing overnight.
The rather chilly temperatures will stick with us through Thursday before warming up a bit on Friday.
Another batch of cold air is on track to settle in this weekend which will open the door for a few more showers and some mountain snow.
