High pressure will offer up clearing skies and warmer temperatures to wrap up the work week.

Most of Central Montana will reach the low to mid 40s on Friday.

Saturday is trending slightly warmer, however clouds will build as the day plays out.

A winter storm system is brewing in the Pacific Ocean and is expected to move into Montana Saturday night.

This system will bring a significant drop in temperatures and widespread snow.

Early forecast models are suggesting 3 to 5 inch of snow are likely through Sunday for most of Central Montana.

The greatest totals are expected to happen around Havre with less snow the further southwest you go.

Flurries are expected to taper off on Sunday with temperatures in the high 20s and early 30s.

The first half of next week is anticipated to remain in the low 30s.
