Temperatures continue to climb and the wind remains brisk

The wind will remain brisk but slightly less gusty today.

Sustained southwesterly winds around 15 to 20 mph are likely throughout the day with occasional gusts nearing 30 mph.

The slightly colder air along the Hi-Line will move out of the state as the day plays out.

A few lingering are possible in Northern Montana early in the day.

The wind will continue to drive temperatures this afternoon with highs reaching the low to mid 40s.

Mountain snow remains a possibility as the day plays out, however most of which will stay in Northwestern Montana.

Forecast models are suggesting that stronger wind will return tomorrow.

This increase in the wind will drive temperatures well into the mid 40s.

Wind gusts in excess of 40 mph are likely especially along the northern portions of the Rocky Mountain Front.

Both Saturday and Sunday are trending in the mid to high 40s for daytime highs with very strong wind.

High Wind Warnings are likely this weekend as wind gusts near 60 mph.

The windy and mild temperatures are expected to extend into next week.

Forecast models are suggesting that temperatures will cool slightly on Wednesday.

Although the plains are expected to remain dry, the mountains will continue to pick ups some snow this next week.
