Mostly sunny skies will take us through the majority of day on Thursday.

A few spotty showers are expected to kick off around Helena this afternoon.

Storms are not expected to be overly strong, mainly just producing periods of rain.

A cold front is expected to pass through the state on Friday.

This system will keep daytime highs in the mid 70s and kick off stronger afternoon storms.

Borderline severe storms are possible, however the main impacts will be periods of heavy rain.

High pressure begins to rebuild toward the tail end of this weekend.

This will allow for temperatures to return to the 80s next week.
