Despite the warmer temperatures on Friday, widespread rain and thunderstorms move in this weekend.

Highs are expected to reach the mid to high 70s for most on today.

Stronger thunderstorms are likely this afternoon and evening, especially throughout Southwestern Montana.

The rain and thunderstorms are expected to take us through the day Saturday and well into the evening.

Although a few isolated severe thunderstorms can't be ruled out in Central Montana, the Northeastern corner of the state will catch the brunt of the severe weather.

Cloudy skies and a few lingering showers are expected on Sunday.

Temperatures will take a tumble as we head into the new work week, with highs on Monday in the mid 50s.

As or right now forecast models are suggesting that high pressure will rebuild on Tuesday, allowing for warmer temperatures later next week.
