A strong high pressure ridge is on track to move into Montana early this week, allowing for temperatures to break the 90s.

Clear skies and climbing temperatures will be the result of this incoming pressure system.

Temperatures on Tuesday are expected to reach the high 80s with the 90s by Wednesday.

With the increase in temperatures and dry conditions this week, there will be a heightened fire danger for our area.

A few thunderstorms are on track to move through the region Thursday afternoon.

Given the daytime heat a few of these storms are expected to be on the strong side.

The hot and dry weather is expected to continue through the weekend.
