We're tracking a hot couple of days in Central Montana, all thanks to a strong high pressure ridge.

Daytime highs are expected to reach the mid to high 80s under sunny skies on Tuesday.

Still hotter temperatures will move in on Wednesday with highs in the high 80s and low 90s.

Some wind is expected Wednesday afternoon as our next weather system approaches.

The wind in combination with the hot temperatures and low humidity levels will ramp up the fire potential Wednesday afternoon.

By Wednesday evening a few showers and thunderstorms are expected throughout the region.

More widespread rain is likely on Thursday, however no where near as widespread as last week.

By Friday, weather conditions are expected to improve and remain nice as we head into the weekend.

A few spotty storms are likely both Saturday and Sunday, however Sunday evening will present a much better chance for storms.

A significant weather maker is tracking our way and is expected to offer up much cooler temperatures and widespread rain early next week.
