Despite some lingering smoke, clear and hot conditions will continue on Friday.

Highs are expected to once again climb into the low 90s.

Slightly stronger wind is on tap this afternoon with gusts around 18 mph.

This will continue to increase the fire concern in our area.

Like every day this week, a few spotty mountain storms can't be rule out during the afternoon and evening.

The best chance for storms will be in Northeastern Montana as a weak cold front drops through the corner of the state.

The hot and dry weather will continue through the weekend.

Temperatures will finally cool to the 80s on Tuesday of next week as an area of low pressure tracks through the state.

This system may draw a bit more moisture into our area as well.

Temperatures will trend in the mid 80s Through Wednesday before likely reaching the 90s once again later next week.
