Widespread snow is on track to take over a good portion of Montana on Wednesday.

Forecast models have backed off on snow totals slightly, however 1 to 3 inches is still likely in most areas.

Temperatures will struggle to break above freezing this afternoon with most areas remaining in the low 30s.

Skies are on track to begin clearing Thursday; however, temperatures will remain well below average.

Friday will offer up plenty of sun and highs well into the 50s for most.

A brief shot of moisture is likely on Saturday.

Temperatures will be cool enough for some areas to see a wintry mix.

Weather conditions are expected to improve on Sunday, allowing for a nice start to next week.
