Cold air and snow are on track to invade Montana as we near Thanksgiving.

A strong area of low pressure is currently tracking in off of the Pacific Coast. This system is drawing an ample amount of moisture our ways as well as allowing for cold air to settle in over the state.

The more widespread snow is expected to begin Tuesday evening. Snow will continue to pile up through Saturday and temperatures will remain in the teens and 20s for highs.

Most of Central Montana can expected to see 4 to 8 inches of snow through Friday.

The Rocky Mountain Front will likely see over a foot of snow.
