Tuesday's storm system has left many area roads covered in black ice and snow. Driving conditions are expected to improve slightly around noon, but with temperatures remaining below freezing, ice will likely reform on lightly traveled roads.
The lingering flurries should be completely out of the state by early this afternoon.
High pressure will continue to rebuild as we near the weekend. Daytime highs on Friday are expected to flirt with the 60s for most of Central Montana. The trade off however will be strong winds.
Another weather system will drop through the state Saturday afternoon. This will significantly drop temperatures and offer up the possibility of a rain and snow mixture on Saturday.
Temperatures will remain cold on Sunday but gain some strength on Monday.
