Very poor air quality is expected as thick smoke returns to Montana.
Upper level winds will draw a significant amount of smoke into the state on Monday.
Unhealthy air quality is not out of the question for a good portion of our area.
Stronger afternoon wind and very low humidity levels will increase the fire danger this afternoon.
In anticipation of the high fire danger, The National Weather Service has a Fire Weather Warner scheduled for Monday afternoon.
Wind gusts around 30 mph are likely with temperatures in the high 80s.
Part of the reason for the wind is due to an incoming cold front.
This front will continue to settle in overnight.
Initially forecast models were hinting at a few showers with the passage of this system, but now it is trending dry.
However, a few spotty showers still possible.
Breezy conditions are expected to continue on Tuesday with the passage of this front.
Slightly cooler temperatures will follow with highs on Tuesday in the low to mid 80s.
Temperatures will continue to fall through Wednesday before climbing again through Friday.
Friday will offer up another day in the low 80s before an area of low pressure tracks our way from the North Pacific.
This pressure system will allow for still cooler air to settle in over Montana this weekend.
A few showers are also possible on Saturday and Sunday.
