and last updated

Upper level wind will once again pull smoke from the southwest into the state.

Strong high pressure will allow for another hot day across Montana with highs well into the 90s.

Winds will remain breezy and become stronger as the day plays out.

Clouds are expected to build this afternoon as a cold front moves into the state.

This cold front will help to kick off a few spotty storms in Central Montana.

Brief periods of heavy rain and hail are possible, however strong gusty wind will be the main impact.

Tuesday is expected to be about ten degrees cooler following Monday's cold front.

The wind will remain breezy and there will be a better chance of afternoon storms.

Much like today, storms on Tuesday will present the chances for heavier periods of rain, hail, and gusty winds.

Temperatures will trend in the mid 80 for the the remainder of the work week.

Forecast models are suggesting a significant cool down later this weekend.
