Showers continue and temperatures remain well below average early this week.

The driving force behind our recent weather maker will continue to pass through the state on Monday.

This will allow for lingering showers and even some mountains snow.

The snow line is expected to remain above 5,500 feet.

A few spotty showers are once again possible Tuesday afternoon with highs climbing back to the 60s.

Wednesday is trending mostly dry with daytime highs in the 70s.

Strong high pressure will continue to build as the week plays out eventually allowing for sunny skies and temperatures in the 80s by Friday.

Forecast models are suggesting this weekend will be hot and dry Saturday with a few spotty storms Sunday.
