Fire weather remains the talking point as we round the midway point of the work week.
A Fire Weather Warning is scheduled to remain in place through this evening for most of Central Montana.
Highs are expected in the low 90s with a few triple digits out east.
Wednesday will offer up a better chance for scattered storms.
A few showers are likely mid morning and again late this afternoon.
Most of these passing systems are expected to be dry in nature, however periods of rain are still likely.
The greatest concern will be the stronger wind associated with these passing systems.
A cold front is on track to pass through the state on Thursday.
This frontal passage will cool the temperatures slightly, however most areas will remain in the high 80s and low 90s.
This cold front will increase the chances for rain Thursday afternoon into the evening.
Most of the rain is expected to stay east of Havre and Lewistown.
High pressure will rebuild as we head into the weekend.
As of now forecast models aren't suggesting that the rebuild of this high pressure will be as aggressive as what we experienced earlier this week.
With that said, temperatures are expected to remain in the high 80s and dry conditions will continue through the weekend.
