Even colder air is on track to move into Montana this evening.
Daytime highs are expected to reach the low to mid 40s before a cold front drops south from Canada.
This cold front will help to kick off snow throughout the region.
Most areas should pick up 1-3 inches on average through Wednesday.
Central Montana near Lewistown will likely see closer to 10 inches.
As of now the Hi-Line is expected to pick up 1-3 inches.
Keep in mind if this system moves in the slightest the accumulation could be much greater in this area.
The significantly colder temperatures are expected to last through Thursday before warming slightly this weekend.
