Mother Nature has a few tricks up her sleeve just in time for Halloween

Temperatures on Thursday will finally climb above above freezing throughout the state.

Most areas in Central Montana are expected to reach the high 30s this afternoon.

A cold front will offer up widespread flurries Thursday afternoon.

Overall accumulations will be light and likely under an inch for most.

The Little Belts and Big Snowy Mountains will catch the brunt of the snow, likely picking up 3 to 6 inches.

Off and on flurries are possible overnight and lows are expected to fall to the high teens.

As we near the weekend temperatures will continue to warm to the 40s.

Sunday is expected to be the warmest day, reaching the mid 40s.

Our next storm system is on track to move in Sunday and last well into Monday.

Early forecast models are suggesting that 1 to 3 inches are possible for most of Central Montana.

Temperatures will once again fall to the 30s with the passage of this system.
