A weak high pressure system will allow for a mild day with temperatures in the early 80s for most of the state.

A few spotty showers are still likely, primarily along the Hi-Line Wednesday afternoon.

Showers that do kick off are expected to be sporadic and short lived.

Thursday will present a better chance of showers for Central Montana.

Some storms will have the potential of becoming borderline severe, however the majority of these systems will remain more moderate.

A Canadian cold front is anticipated to drop through the state on Friday.

This will help to keep temperatures a bit cooler, likely in the mid 70s for most.

More widespread showers are expected to follow the passage of this front Friday afternoon.
