In anticipation of the strong wind, the National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Warning for a good portion of North Central Montana.
Very strong upper level wind will mix down to the lower atmosphere on Friday and Saturday.
This will cause for sustained wind around 35 to 45 mph for Central Montana.
Wind gusts in upwards of 65 mph are very likely, especially near Browning and the immediate vicinity of the Rocky Mountain Front.
A few lingering mountains flurries are likely again on Friday.
Very few if any of these flurries will make their way into Central Montana.
A High Wind Watch will go into effect on Saturday for nearly all of Montana.
This reasoning behind this is due to the passage of a cold front on Saturday.
This cold front is expected to only increase the already strong wind in the state.
Cooler temperatures will wrap up the weekend with warmer air returning on Tuesday.
