Overall Thursday is shaping up to pretty mild with temperatures in the low 50s for most of Central Montana.

The wind is on track to pick up overnight and last all day Friday.

Very strong winds are expected with gusts in upwards of 65 mph.

In anticipation of the severe winds the National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Warning from most of North Central Montana.

The wind will help to keep temperatures mild on Friday, before they fall this weekend.

An aggressive cold front is on track to drop into Montana Friday night into Saturday morning.

This system will bring rain that is expected to quickly transition to snow.

Temperatures will fall to the mid to low 30s this weekend.

Most areas will see around one to three inches of snow.

The Rocky Mountain Front will likely pick up closer to five to ten inches.

The colder weather is anticipated to stick around through Tuesday.
