Thursday morning forecast with Jason Laird

and last updated

Fog has taken over North Central Montana this morning, making for very limited visibility.

Although not widespread some areas of freezing frog are likely early today.

Temperatures will continue to climb this afternoon thanks to clear skies.

The high pressure ridge that is offering up a break from the cold will remain dominate through the weekend.

A quick passing weather disturbance will crunch this ridge slightly Friday night into Saturday.

This will open the door for a few scatted showers overnight into Saturday.

Warmer temperatures will return on Sunday.

Forecast models are a bit undecided on the weather pattern for next week.

A wintry mix is looking likely on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The overall severity of this incoming system is still unknown.
