Extreme wind will continue on Thursday with gusts well over 40 mph for most.

The strong wind will drive temperatures into the high 60s and low 70s this afternoon.

A High Wind Warning is in effect for a good portion of North Central Montana.

The most severe winds are expected along the immediate vicinity of the Rocky Mountain Front.

High profile vehicles should use extreme caution when traveling in this area.

A few showers are possible in Northwestern Montana and over the mountains today as our next weather system begins approaching.

Temperatures will begin to fall on Friday as colder air spills into the state.

The wind will remain brisk as we wrap up the work week but not nearly as strong as what we've seen this past week.

Area showers will transitions to a snow Saturday afternoon.

Widespread and heavy snow is expected overnight Saturday and through the day on Sunday.

Temperatures will fall quite significantly as this weather system moves through the state, keeping highs in the 20s and 30s.

Forecast models are suggesting more snow compared to earlier this week.

Snow accumulation around 8 to 12 inches isn't out of the question from Cut Bank to Great Falls.

The Capitol will have the potential to receive 5 to 8 inches.

Havre is trending around 5 to 8 inches while Lewistown may see 8 to 12 inches.

These are very early forecast model anticipations and may change quite a bit before Saturday.

However, confidence is increasing that we will receive significant snow Saturday night and Sunday.
