Clear skies and plenty of sunshine will take over Montana on Thursday!

Temperatures will climb well into the 60s for most.

The calm and mild conditions will carry over to Good Friday before they take a turn for the worst this weekend.

In anticipation of this next storm system, The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch which will go into affect Friday evening.

On average 5 to 8 inches of snow are expected throughout North Central Montana.

The greatest accumulations will be on grassy areas and on vegetation.

Warmer ground temperatures should help to melt most of the initial snowfall.

The snow is expected to taper off early on Sunday however the cold temperatures will stick around through the first part of next week.
