Despite a little wind Friday is shaping up to be a mild one

Friday morning forecast with Jason Laird

and last updated

Once again fog has developed along the Hi-Line this morning.

Some freezing fog is possible which will make for patchy ice and slippery conditions.

Bridges and overpasses are the main areas of concern for ice.

Temperatures will begin to warm up quickly Friday.

Much of the state will see highs well into the 50s with a bit of a westerly breeze.

A weak cold front is on track to push through the state late Friday into Saturday.

This system isn't expected to be overly aggressive and should only bring rain to most of the area.

Some areas may see more of a rain and snow mixture and the mountains will likely see some light snow.

Temperatures will be slightly cooler on Saturday following this front, however the high 40s and low 50s are still expected.

The weather conditions are on track to remain mild through Monday.

Forecast models are suggesting that a more aggressive weather system will drop through the state Tuesday and Wednesday.

There are a fair amount of inconsistencies with this system and changes are likely.
