Hot temperatures, stronger wind, and low humidity levels have greatly increased the fire weather concerns throughout the state.
In anticipation of the high fire danger, The National Weather Service has multiple Fire Weather Warnings going into effect this afternoon and evening.
A Heat Advisory also remains in effect for a good portion of North Central Montana.
Highs on Tuesday are expected to be slightly cooler than Monday, reaching the low to mid 90s this afternoon.
More smoke is also likely today due to the increase in wind.
At times wind gust are expected to range between 20 and 30 mph.
A few scattered storms can't be ruled out today; however, Wednesday and Thursday will present a better chance for more wide spread storms in Central Montana.
As these weather systems pass through the state, temperatures will dip to the high 80s through Saturday.
Forecast models are suggesting more seasonable average temperatures early next week.
