Cold Canadian air is on track to invade today, significantly dropping temperatures as we near the weekend. Highs will remain in the low 30s on Thursday with a flurries around the Capital. Overall accumulation for Helena is expected to be around one to three inches.

Friday is shaping up to be still colder with highs in the mid to low 20s. The below average temperatures are expected to last through the weekend and into next week.

Forecast models are showing another area of low pressure headed our way. The models have been differing on how this pressure system will play out early next week. If it tracks further north, snow is likely and if it stays south, we should remain dry.

One way or another it will likely keep temperatures below average next week.
