and last updated

Brisk wind and colder temperatures will take us into the new work week.

The stronger wind will allow for temperatures to reach the high 40s and low 50s throughout the area today.

Gusts around 30 mph area likely for a good chunk of Central Montana with stronger gusts along the Front.

An incoming cold front will increase the cloud cover this afternoon.

Scattered flurries are likely over the mountains and a quick flurry can't be ruled out along the I-15 corridor.

Following the passage of this front temperatures will fall to the mid 20s overnight.

Another round of scattered flurries are likely mid morning on Tuesday.

This second push of colder air will provide a better chance for some light accumulation.

Highs on Tuesday will remain in the mid to high 30s for most.

Skies will clear on Wednesday for North Central Montana and temperatures will return to the low 40s.

This same can't be said for Northeastern Montana as a brief round of snow is likely Wednesday evening.

Strong high pressure will continue building on Thursday allowing for highs to climb well above average once again.

The mild temperatures are expected to take us through the weekend.
