Temperatures will trend a bit cooler today as colder air settles in.

The strong wind will begin to let up this afternoon; however, until then wind gusts around 60 mph are likely.

Snow accumulations around three to seven inches are still possible above 5,000 feet Wednesday morning.

As the wind lets up this evening temperatures are on track to fall below freezing throughout Central Montana.

Daytime highs will reach the upper 40s once again on Thursday.

The wind will remain brisk but not as strong as what we've seen up until this point.

Temperatures will rebound slightly on Friday reaching the mid 50s.

Weather conditions will take a turn for the worse this weekend as a batch of Arctic Air settles in over the state.

The colder air is expected to move in late Friday afternoon dropping temperatures significantly by Saturday.

A wintry mix is likely late in the day and eventually transitioning to snow over night.

Flurries are expected to continue through Saturday and eventually begin tapering off on Sunday.

Most of the accumulation will remain in grassy areas due to the warmer ground temperatures.

Overnight lows are looking to trend in the low 20s of next week.

Forecast models are hinting at slightly warmer temperatures on Monday and Tuesday.
