Although more sun is on tap... Temperatures remain a bit chilly on Thursday

Thursday morning forecast with Jason Laird

and last updated

The last bit of remaining moisture from our recent winter storm will exit the state Thursday morning.

Very cold temperatures on the other hand will stick around a few more days.

Clearing skies and calm winds will present the opportunity for morning fog in Central Montana.

Daytime highs are expected to climb above freezing this afternoon.

A building high pressure ridge will continue to allow for mostly sunny skies and warming temperatures through the weekend.

We should hit the high 40s on Saturday and low 50s on Sunday.

Slightly cooler conditions are likely on Monday and the chance of a shower can't be ruled out.

By Tuesday temperatures are expected back in the 50s.
